Mythology
This is a richly illustrated, interactive introduction to Greek mythology, packaged in the style of the “Ologies” series (which includes titles like Dragonology, Egyptology, etc.).
The conceit: It’s presented as though written in the early nineteenth century by “Lady Hestia Evans”, whose guide book to Greek myths is carried by an English nobleman traveling through ancient Greece.
Inside you will find:
-
Didactic sections on gods, heroes, monsters, origins of mankind, etc.
-
Lots of novelty features: pop-ups, fold-outs, inserts (for example: a pop-up Pandora’s Box; a piece of the Golden Fleece; an oak-leaf oracle of Zeus; a card game of the twelve Olympians)
-
The design leans into a “romantic” older style (Victorian/19th century) flavour — the book itself is styled as a “primer” by Evans, with annotations etc
