Oceanology
This richly illustrated and imaginative book presents itself as a recovered journal of a sixteen-year-old assistant who traveled aboard the legendary submarine Nautilus under the command of Captain Nemo in 1866. The narrator claims to have survived the ill-fated voyage and to have later conveyed his experiences to the famous author Jules Verne.
The narrative invites readers to dive beneath the sea’s surface and explore a mix of real ocean science and imagined wonders — such as diving bells, shipwrecks, coral reefs, ice-canyons, sharks, giant octopi, luminous sea monsters, underwater volcanoes, and even the legendary island of Atlantis.
In the style of the “Ologies” series, the book is designed with lots of visual flourishes — fold-outs, inserts, textured pages, and a sense of interactive exploration
